Plus One when it was my favorite podcast and something I looked forward to every week. I am no one to judge anyone for any choice that they make with what they do,and I am in NO WAY dissing or hating what is going on with Plus One:Per Diem. I just wanted to post a quick note about the death of something I truly loved. Plus One. If you haven't heard it,you should. The single reason I started a podcast was my love for Plus One. My Tuesday would always start with me trying to find a wi-fiI connection on my iPod to download Plus One (we didn't have/couldn't afford internet at the time) and I would listen to the new episode as soon as it hit iTunes. Every Tuesday. Every week,and I NEVER missed an episode. In fact,as I type this,I am listening to Plus One. I can recall weeks where Jen and Kevin didn't record and it almost ruined my week. That is how much I loved Plus One. Cut to a few months later. I am recording my own podcast and I was forced to stop listening to SModcast and the original Plus One is no longer a thing. Plus One morphed into Plus One the morning show and I am still listening..... but not really. This is why. The beauty of Plus One is that is was just Jen and Kevin Smith. The new show has Hollywood guests,different hosts that fill in when Kevin and Jen can't,and is over two hours long.... daily. The reason I stopped listening is because the dynamic changed. Plus One was a show I loved because I could relate. Greg and I fight and bicker and laugh at each other daily,and on mic,it is my life. Nothing changes. It is a snapshot of my life and it will always be just that: two old gay dudes,fighting on mic for the world to hear. Regardless of whatever happens with what we do,when Greg and I hit the mic,you can feel like you are listening to real life.... because you are. R.I.P. Plus One. You are missed.
